Male elegance as a natural attitude, made up of attention to detail and simple rituals, is the inspiration for the Spring Summer 2015 men’s collection by Sergio Rossi.
By blending the precepts of the most traditional tailoring with the aesthetic vocabulary of the brand, Angelo Ruggeri, Collections and Design Director, creates clean lines and minimalist designs where the very choice of materials and finishes becomes form, emphasised by the strength of the colours of black and white.
Vintage models and 3D graphics for daywear where the technical fabric with a woven straw effect is used on the very classic whole derby, on slippers and on the new monk strap style, where the tongue disappears, evoking the iconic see-through by Sergio Rossi.
Contemporary craftsmanship for the models with a micro sole, which have all the details of bespoke footwear, from the mini-studs as trim to the recessed plaquette, and for the trainers with the patented sole with built-in zip, which requires 24 hours of work, combined in the more street style variants with the Velcro collar.
Pure form for the evening, with a new more tapered silhouette, exalted by the use of mirror-reflective black patent leather with tone-on-tone kid or optical white in a model that evokes the refined beauty of a 1950s dinner jacket, enhanced by an original accessory, ‘sock suspenders’.
This is how Sergio Rossi celebrates masculine elegance, when attitude becomes style.
