Two years after the stunning collaboration with Claude Viallat, Sergio Rossi is once again embarking on a new journey in the art world, with the famous Chinese artist Peng Wei. The artist will revisit Sergio Rossi’s iconic Chelsea Boot, presenting eight unique versions realized in hand painted rice paper, inspired by the highest traditional art of China.
The most important characteristic of Chinese art comes alive in a unique way on each boot. No « raboutage » (assembling of two fabrics, side by side), the boots are realized on a sheet of ricepaper, on which the artist created a play of colors that emerge in unmistakable fashion.

The artworks will be presented in Paris at Sergio Rossi boutique in Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré from 18th to 21st October during the FIAC. On Friday 19th October, from 6.30 to 8.30 PM, a cocktail to celebrate Peng Wei artworks will be hosted at Sergio Rossi boutique – 11 Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré. With the artist, Francesco Russo, the creative director and Christophe Mélard, CEO and President of Sergio Rossi.
